Supply Well Abandonment

East Coast Environmental, P.A. staff have been licensed by the North Carolina Well Contractors Commission to abandon water supply wells since 2000 when this activity was first regulated by the State of North Carolina. Since that time, ECE personnel have abandoned a variety of supply wells including bores, drilled and even hand dug wells for commercial clients and individuals.

Out of use or improperly abandoned wells and particularly bored and hand dug wells are a major liability for property owners due to the inherent danger of individuals falling into them while drilled wells can create an avenue for the spread of groundwater contaminants.  That is why it is critical for your well abandonment to be performed by a bonded and licensed North Carolina Well Driller.

ECE can complete the well abandonment process including preparation of a well abandonment record for as little as $1,800 depending on site location and well depth.
